Finally, in the year 2004 Melbourne Airport became ISO 14001 compliant. ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems. Receiving it made Melbourne Airport the very first airport to become accredited to ISO 14001.

Aside the aforementioned awards and recognitions, Melbourne Airport had also won several state and nation tourism awards. To add to these, Melbourne Airport was presented with a Service Partner Award but Singapore Airlines in 2002 as well as a Premier Business Partner Award in 2004.
